Maasai Mara Wildlife Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi & Transfer to Maasai Mara
Upon arrival in Nairobi, a representative from Kagera Safaris will meet you at the airport or your hotel. Begin your scenic journey to the Maasai Mara by road (approximately 6 hours) or by scheduled flight (45 minutes). Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of Kenya’s landscapes, from the Great Rift Valley escarpments to local homesteads.
Upon arrival at your lodge or camp in the Mara, enjoy a warm welcome with a refreshing drink and a hearty lunch. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive, offering your first glimpse of Africa’s iconic wildlife.

Day 2 & 3: Full-Day Game Drives in Maasai Mara
Each morning begins with a wholesome breakfast before you embark on a full day of game viewing in the reserve. You’ll carry packed lunch to allow for uninterrupted exploration of the reserve’s rich wildlife areas.
Enjoy sightings of lions resting under acacia trees, elephants grazing in family groups, swift cheetahs on the hunt, and massive herds of wildebeests and zebras. The Mara is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 470 bird species recorded.
As the sun sets, return to your lodge for a relaxing evening and dinner under the stars.
